“Lee Bailey has been placed upon this earth to sing! And He does, very effectively, for the glory of God. He has taken His God-given ability and honed and sharpened it into a wonderfully effective tool. His trained voice is also filled with genuine emotion and love for Christ. This rare combination of art and heart is sure to bless all who hear. ”

“Lee Bailey has a gift and his passion is evident both in his life and in his music. The expressive depth of his voice is a complement to his character work in acting. He is a joy to work with and to watch.”

“Lee Farrar Bailey brings a voice of operatic power to Jud; his “Lonely Room” is a showstopping highlight. He modulates his volume to join Lukas on the comic “Pore Jud is Daid” and creates a villain with depth and feeling.”

Pensacola Performance
July 13, 2008

“While in Florida this weekend, I had the privilege to see my good friend, Lee Farrar Bailey, a tenor, perform a concert at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church in Pensacola, Florida. I’ve known Lee since my Belhaven days, and I remember him as a performer who was highly sought after, especially in the field of music. And when he decided which event he would be performing at, instantly that event had an extra ounce of credibility. In fact, Lee was also responsible for one of my shows being produced, Geraniums and Wrens, several years ago in Madison, Mississippi. So I believe it goes without question that I have nothing but good things to say about the guy.

One of those good things was his performance in Pensacola. From Wagner to worship, from Broadway to blues, Lee Farrar Bailey offered an evening of enchanting and inspired music. As I sat in my seat, I was pleased to see that the man I knew at Belhaven still had his stage presence and operatic bravado about him. I was also pleased with the choice of musicians he handpicked to perform in his show. Among them were Chad Miller (my Grat brother and creator of this website), David Potvin, and Barry Hause, all of whom I knew from Belhaven as well.

Many of the selections can be found on his albums, My Heart’s Passion and After the Show, and both of these recordings can be found on his website, http://www.leefarrarbailey.com/

One of the albums, After the Show, features a song that I co-wrote with Karen K. Johnston, A Moment’s Peace. So check it out. The title does not do the album justice. After the Show, along with My Heart’s Passion, makes for great listening before AND after a show!”

Comments and Quotes for Lee’s Double CD, ‘My Heart’s Passion Volume I & II’ & his Broadway Musical CD, ‘After The Show’

My Heart’s Passion Volume I & II

Inspiring

“As soon as the first song began, I was pulled in. The variety, depth and emotion reflected in each unique arrangement is complimented by a gifted vocal performance with depth of feeling and spirit.”
Deborah Stevens, Slidell, Louisiana

A true reflection of Christian music.

“In a world of worn out hymns and canned, sales-driven modern Christian rock, Lee pours out a great compilation of music from all sides of the aisle, and brings incredible vocal discipline, dynamics, and depth to work which needed an overhaul for a jaded skeptic like me. And to know his life makes it all the more powerful. Amazing work, Lee. You have got the gift!”
David Campbell, New Orleans, Louisiana

I love the selections and the variety.

“This CD is thrilling in its content, selection, variety of moods. It is encouraging and edifying.”
Dr. Joseph Martin
Ordained Minister & Chair of Biblical Studies
Belhaven College

This CD is absolutely amazing!

“I must say, this CD is really inspiring. The songs are exquisite and the music just joyous. I am blessed by it every time I listen to it. I know I am not the only one! Great job Lee!”
Zack Coker of Jackson, Mississppi

A splendid collection, masterfully performed.

“A great buy. From the touching duet “All I Ask Of You”, performed with his wife Nicole whose passionate soprano voice sparkles against Lee’s rich tenor, to the boisterous, rollicking humor of “C’est Moi”, Lee magnetically illuminates each simply-crafted song in this eclectic Broadway review. My favorites: “Johanna” (you HAVE to hear this to believe it), Skip Davis’ and Karen Johnston’s “A Moment’s Peace”, and the Les Miserables classic “Bring Him Home”. A well-rounded selection, performed by a musical powerhouse.”
